Where were you this past weekend, if you weren't here here you missed out. Lloyd and I attended the Shelfish Festival Gala dinner, and were very impressed indeed. The setting on the Filberg Lodge lawn was beautiful as was the weather thank goodness. The food and wine were fantastic, shrimp, sablefish, salmon, and other fish starting with a different letter. Beaufort wines, and Sturgener brewery provided the refreshments. We did not get to the festival event itself, many did because they were sold out by 3pm. Why we missed it? We went skiing at Mt. Washington. So did a million other crazy people, it was very hot and difficult to dress for summer skiing, so many wore costumes instead. We saw sasquatch, a pimp in a purple velour suit, and lots of Hawaian vactioners fun was had by all. We didn't know if it would be well attended and were very surprized at the massive turnout. Skiing in June, why would you miss that.
We are almost booked to capacity for the month of July and August is quickly filling up as well. July starts the www.eatlocalcomoxvalley.com contest. Be sure to get your passport at the visitors center.
