May has arrived, but not the warm weather. We have had some beautiful sunny days but the temperature remains cool. We have had our first guests from the UK for this year, which considering the volcano problem was a great surprize. They enjoyed a hike at Seal Bay park, saw the tonne of snow at Mt. Washington and even ventured into Cumberland for a cup of coffee and a visit to Comox Lake. They also dined at Martines Bistro on Sunday and enjoyed the meal, music, and quality service.
When we have guests from other countries we are often reminded about how much the valley has to offer. Our guests were amazed at the size of Comox lake and how little we seem to take advantage of that lake, access wise. I guess lake country in the UK is much smaller and definately more crowded compaired to what we are used to.
