With all the Olympic hype settling down, everyone seems to be focused on spring. We have tonnes of flowers out in the Comox Valley, and here at the Giraffe, the deer have already finished off my tulips. We cannot forget about skiing just yet, they have the deepest snow pack and just received 28cm of snow overnight.
For visitors planning on visiting the Comox Valley during the summer months, be advised that the long weekends accomodations sell out quickly and should be booked well in advance. The events that are comming on the weekend in July is the Comox Valley Music Fest and in August the Filberg Festival. June hold the third annual Shellfish Festival which is quickly gaining popularity with the dinner almost selling out instantly.
