April at the Ginger Giraffe B&B

We are finally having some much needed sunshine and just in time for the annual Snowbirds training. Just one more added bonus of living in the Comox Valley. From now until the 23rd of April the areobatic team performs two practices a day, in essence their complete airshow twice a day weekday. If you are an aircraft enthusiast now is the time to visit Comox. One practice is held over the airfield the other over the water with a spectacular view from some of the local beaches. They also hold autograph sessions at the Airforce Museum at a time yet to be announced, will update with further information.
On April 25th it is the annual Snow to Surf race. Lots of fun happening that weekend. On Saturday the parade starts at 11:00am, and you need to see the costumes. Saturday night there is a dance a the Comox rec center one block from uor B&B, and on Sunday, the race. The Marina park in Comox is the finish line with a beer garden and several food vendors set up in the park until 4pm. We are very close to all the action of this race, check us out at www.comoxbb.com.
